Read with the Philly Queer Book Club!

The Philly Queer Book Club is a monthly queer book club in Philadelphia celebrating those who love reading and discussing queer literature. We are hosted at PAT @ Giovanni’s Room, the longest running queer book store in the country.

Whether you simply read along at home, add our books to your “to read” list, or join us in person for one or every meeting, we’re delighted that you're now part of our queer literary community. As a club, we focus on reading and discussing (mostly contemporary) works by queer authors, centering queer lives and  experiences. This month’s discussion!

Small Rain

by Garth Greenwell

This novel deftly explores the lonely space of illness, incisively depicts the (at-times) bizarre shadow world of healthcare, and beautifully ruminates on poetry, home, music, love, and more. It's an intimate and moving work, and for my money one of the best books I've read in the past year.

Discussion on Feb 13 at 6 p.m. at PAT @ Giovanni’s Room!
