Read with the Philly Queer Book Club!

The Philly Queer Book Club is a monthly queer book club in Philadelphia celebrating those who love reading and discussing queer literature. We are hosted at PAT @ Giovanni’s Room, the longest running queer book store in the country.

Whether you simply read along at home, add our books to your “to read” list, or join us in person for one or every meeting, we’re delighted that you're now part of our queer literary community. As a club, we focus on reading and discussing (mostly contemporary) works by queer authors, centering queer lives and  experiences. If you want to check out our past selections, all of our titles linked here

This month’s discussion!

My Government Means to Kill Me by Rasheed Newsom

This fictional annotated memoir embeds queer history, coming of age drama, and compelling relationships in its sharp prose.

After our discussion, we’re partnering with Philly Black Pride and the Philly Film Society to host a FREE screening of the incredible Moonlight at 7 pm (with events earlier) at PFS East

Discussion on June 5 at 6 p.m. at PAT @ Giovanni’s Room!
